Temple Time

Ah, yes...monkeys and their temples. It's hard to make out, but these guys were having a ball playing on this jungle gym disguised as a temple at Chamundi Hill!

Offerings at Chamundeshwari Temple (Kumkum)

Back seat of my (pimped out) rickshaw...and possible inspiration for a new rhyme,LL Cool J?

View of the Kaveri River and surroundings in Srirangapatna, near Sri Ranganthaswamy Temple. All that green beyond the bridge is lush palm tree after palm tree! It seems to be endless.

Sri Ranganthaswamy Temple dedicated to the Hindu God Ranganatha, a manifestation of Vishnu, preserver of the universe
A closer look at the temple. Incredibly sturdy structure...built in the 9th century! Added bonus was the relief it offered from the blazing sun

Can't comment on who this is, but who can ignore a man sporting golden wings!?

And because having your picture taken with a westerner seems to land somewhere between a (cheap) thrill and status symbol for locals all around India:
